What skills and experience we're looking for
Smannell & Enham is a school that is moving forwards, where we work as a team to improve outcomes for children… having a lot of fun along the way! The team in September will be fairly newly formed and we have a new, exciting curriculum which we’re trialing at the moment that really puts learning in our local area and with creative, rich experiences to enrich what we offer our children. It’s your opportunity to be part of something exciting as the school grows and thrives.
If you have:
At least 3 years recent part or full time experience in KS2
A real interest in providing learning experiences rooted in children’s own lives
The passion, presence and pace to bring learning alive
The ability to think outside of the box and create exciting learning opportunities to reinforce key skills
An interest & understanding in how children develop and can create an ethos in your classroom which supports this
A desire to be part of a school which is committed to developing learning approaches and delivering high quality teaching
An interest in contributing to school development and proven subject leadership rooted in development and improvement of the school
then this is the post for you!
What the school offers its staff
We have 91 children in our school and it’s thriving but we never sit still! In a small school, you’ll know every child and family – it is important to us that whoever we recruit values this family approach.
We have created teams to work within and plan alongside so that you’re not on your own as well as having known staff cover classes.
Further details about the role
If you’d like to have a chat about the role or come and take a look for yourself (term time or during February half term holidays) or you’d like an application pack please email Katherine Thrush, Admin Officer, adminoffice@smannellenham.hants.sch.uk.
Visits with the headteacher, Emma Jefferies, are welcomed – you’ll spend a good portion of your time in school so do come and find out what it’s like!
Commitment to safeguarding
