What the school offers its staff

St John’s is a terrific place to work and learn. The school is a large primary school set in a green belt area on the edge of Caterham. Formerly two separate schools, the site is extensive and offers a fantastic learning environment. We have brilliant pupils that dedicate themselves to learn and work hard and our staff are extremely committed and talented.

It is not a requirement for applicants to be a practising Christian. Irrespective of personal beliefs, as part of our school community, our staff support and model our ethos and values. We value and encourage all applications.

Applications should be made by 9am on Monday 26th June. Please email applications to SBM@stjohnscofe.uk Interviews are planned for Friday 30 June or earlier in agreement with the candidate. Short listed candidates will initially be notified by telephone, followed by a letter outlining the arrangements for interviews. In addition to the candidate’s ability to perform the duties of the post, the interview process will explore issues relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

I am sure our newly appointed member of staff will feel extremely welcomed into this friendly community.

You are most welcome to come and visit the school. Please telephone the school to make an appointment or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,

Mr Robert Veale
