Trinity Academy Akroydon was the first primary school to join Trinity Multi-Academy Trust in February 2017. Our first priority was to create an environment where our pupils can experience an outstanding education which will set them on the path for lifelong success. As a result, we have completely changed the culture of the academy, investing greatly in our staff and leadership team. Through quality whole-school and individual CPD, our employees know they are valued and supported with every aspect of their role. Crucially, they now feel empowered and passionate about changing the life chance of our pupils.
In its first full year as part of the trust, Akroydon Primary Academy was ranked in the top 3% of the most improved schools in the country, and it was the second most improved primary school, out of 100, in Calderdale. The percentage of pupils achieving ARE in WRM increased by 37%. Greater Depth improvements are also significant with a 21.4% increase in reading and a 19.5% increase in maths.
