Our collective aim is to ensure that all children strive to achieve and exceed their goals, whilst nurturing a life-long love of learning.
At Oatlands Juniors, children play an active role in the life of the school, through the many Pupil Voice groups and even running their own extra-curricular clubs. We are proud of our rich, broad and creative curriculum that encourages our children to be inquisitive, enterprising and independent learners.
Oatlands Junior School is surrounded by spacious, beautiful grounds with fantastic outdoor facilities. We have recently expanded into a full three-form entry Junior school, with two new additional classrooms and Arts Studio. Our running track, is popular with all our children, especially the ‘Daily Mile’ challenge. We work closely with our friends in the local community who support various projects in school. The local allotment group work in partnership with our Eco-Committee to maintain and develop our nature area, which includes a sensory and wildlife garden and Reading Retreat. Our sculpture garden, at the entrance to our school, displays works of art throughout the year in collaboration with local artists. We have been recognised for our high quality curriculum provision through the many awards that we have achieved, including: Arts Mark Gold; Sports Games Gold; Eco Schools Bronze; Healthy School Award Bronze and we are working to achieve the Carnegie Mental Health Award.
