- Assist the Class Teacher with the educational, social and emotional development of all children, including running targeted group work to address specific learning objectives helping to raise the learning and attainment of pupils.
- Organising and preparing resources for the Class Teacher.
- Identify, acknowledge and positively promote children’s aspirations.
- Ideally have established experience of working within a KS2 classroom in a teaching assistant role.

Maidwell Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced individual who can provide high quality support in teaching and learning for our children within Key Stage 2.
The role will be predominately based in our Year 5/6 class but could also involve working with our Year 3/4 class from time to time.

Ideally you should have proven experience of working within primary schools and have at least NVQ2 qualifications or GCSE C or above in both English and Maths.
Experience in Year 6 Maths and English would be of particular relevance to this position.

The post of KS2 Teaching Assistant can also be linked to the role of Breakfast Club Assistant by extending the hours of the working day to start from 8:30am.
Lunchtime Supervisor
The post of KS2 Teaching Assistant can also be linked to the role of Lunchtime Supervisor by extending the hours of the working day to finish at 1:30pm.
