KS2 Teaching Assistant job summary

We have a vacancy for a KS2 Teaching Assistant – (1 year full time contract to support year 6 pupils with EHCP)

To start September 2022

Salary: SCP Band 1-3 (£18, 516 to £18 887) (up to Maximum 32.5 hours a week)

This role would suit a recent graduate or someone considering going into teaching.

We are looking for someone who:
• Can communicate effectively and work in a team environment
• Is patient, calm and has a good sense of humour
• Has some experience of working with KS2 primary aged children
• Has some knowledge of SEND and experience of working with SEND children (e.g. ASD; ADHD)
• Is able to work under the guidance of the class teacher but can use their own initiative
• Is organised and is able to provide feedback to assist plans.
• Provide targeted support to enhance learning for children with EHCPs.
• Has some knowledge of the curriculum and can bring creativity to the role
• Has at least grade C in GCSE in Maths and English
• Has a commitment to supporting all children to reach their potential
• Will be committed to the role, our values and our school team
