Due to the continued growth and success of the academy, we are seeking to appoint 2 talented individuals in the roles of KS3 Lead - Science and KS4 Lead - Science. Our newly appointed KS3 Lead will continue the development and implementation of the IB Middle Years Programme in science and our KS4 Lead will continue the development and implementation of KS4 Science Programmes, especially GCSE Separate Sciences and post-16 recruitment.

Please be aware that applicants can be considered for either roles, but if you do have a preference, please indicate on your application which of these you are most interested in.

Both positions are a permanent opportunity with a salary of MPS/UPS, dependent on experience with a TLR of £3,048 (TLR1)

In September 2017, following the request of the Department for Education due to our continued success, The Leigh UTC marked history by expanding its student intake to incorporate Key Stage 3 – the first UTC in England to do this. Furthermore, being the first UTC to have IB World School Status has enabled us to develop strong international links. Having IB Status has enabled us to further develop the mid-years programme (MYP) for our Key Stage 3 students and thus providing a joined-up pathway from ages 11 to 19. The overarching mission of the Inspiration Academy is to develop curious, academically-skilled young people who aspire to be principled, compassionate learners. Our curriculum strives to create students who are self-motivated, competent, willing to take risks and lifelong learners.
