KS3/KS4 Teacher of Maths job summary
Can you bring Maths to life and make it relevant to our students’ lives?
Could you inspire our students and give them the confidence they desperately need to believe that they can achieve in Maths?
We are looking for a Maths teacher who is passionate about supporting young people who have often found school a challenge.
A teacher who shares our determination to improve our students’ life chances and give them learning opportunities which stimulate and excite.
Salary: MPS/UPS + Fringe weighting
Hours: Full time
Contract: Permanent
Start date: April 2020 or sooner

Our alternative provision academy is based in Tilbury in Thurrock and has up to 96 students aged between 11 and 16 on roll at one time. The academy was graded as 'Good' in all areas following its last Ofsted inspection in December 2018. Our brand new building opened to staff and students in summer 2017. The academy facilities include purpose-built kitchens, computing suites, music studio, science labs, workshop and multi-sports pitch.
Our staff supports young people who have been placed at the academy for a period of intervention work, following a permanent exclusion from a mainstream school. The academy also supports young people with medical needs.
