Bring your love of language to life! At Co-op Academy Bebington, we're looking for an innovative KS4 English Co-ordinator to engage students and foster a lifelong love of reading and writing!
As a KS4 English Co-ordinator, you will help to implement and deliver an exciting, knowledge-rich curriculum that is thoughtfully sequenced and is informed by expert subject knowledge and the latest educational research. We are looking for someone to join the English team who shares our passion for the subject and commitment to supporting every child to achieve great outcomes and a lifelong love of reading and literature.
At the top of your game, you’ll have great behaviours, strong organisational skills, the ability to collaborate effectively, and be able to work constructively as part of a team. How and why you do things matters greatly to us, as does your ability to use your initiative, work independently and be resilient.
Why us?
We are proud to belong to the Co-op Academies Trust and remain fully committed to placing our Co-operative values and ‘Ways of Being’ at the forefront of our ambition to deliver outstanding provision for all within our community.
Our Commitment to Inclusion & Support
We pride ourselves on delivering an ambitious curriculum for all children. To ensure every student can succeed, our academy features:
- - Two Specialist Resourced Provisions: One specifically designated for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and one for Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- - Two Internal Alternative Provisions: Targeted environments to better engage students who find the traditional classroom setting more challenging.
- Comprehensive Student Support: An extensive team including non-teaching Heads of Year, a dedicated attendance team, and a robust safeguarding team.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in our future development, ensuring our English curriculum is accessible, challenging, and successful for every student across the academy.
All our values are based upon the values of the Co-op Group, which will inform our behaviours.
Self-help: We do not expect to be spoon fed – we will try to do things for ourselves in the right way and at the right time.
Self-responsibility: Everyone should act in a responsible way around the academy site and in the local community. We take responsibility for our own learning; we want to become independent learners.
Equality: We are proud to be part of a very multicultural academy, with students from all over the world; it is important that we treat each other with respect and accept that others may be different from ourselves. We should all of us have equal chances to succeed.
Equity: We want to look for the best in each other. Rewarding others fairly to encourage all types of achievement.
Democracy: We will contribute our ideas to make the academy a success.
Solidarity: We can achieve more by working together, rather than as individuals.
