Support staff are vital within any UTC and we are looking for a Learning Manager to support our students within UTC Sheffield City Centre. Applications will be considered from candidates with experience at Post-16 (KS5) or Pre-16 (KS4). You will offer pastoral support to students including liaison with parents and external agencies. You will assist teaching staff in the promotion of positive behaviour as well as maintaining or improving attendance. You will act as the primary point of pastoral care for the students you support as well as supporting their progression onto the next stages of their career at either 16 or 18. Current experience in safeguarding is essential to the role.
You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of support services in a fast paced, student-focused environment where conflicting demands are the norm. Effective communication and team working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success.
