L2 Teaching Assistant to Support a Child with an EHCP
31.25 hours per week, 8:30am - 3:15pm Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Scale 3, SCP 5 - 6
The post is Fixed Term to 31 August 2026 (in the first instance) due to being externally funded by an Education Health Care Plans for an individual child
We are looking for a temporary, Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with an EHCP.
The successful candidate will need to:
- Have experience of supporting the individual needs of children
- Be willing to support the wider work of the school
- Be a well organised, friendly and flexible team player, with good interpersonal skills
- Be committed to forging excellent relationships with pupils, staff, parents and other professionals
- Have an interest/aptitude for facilitating inclusion
- Be willing to undertake training relevant to the role and the needs of the child
Priorities for the successful candidate will be:
- To recognise and respond to the individual needs of a child with an EHCP whilst ensuring their safety and education in the learning environment
- To establish constructive relationships with children and interact with them according to their individual needs
- To support and assist with the development and implementation of the child’s EHCP
