Laboratory Technician job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of School Laboratory Technician within our multidisciplinary Science Department and under the direction of the Science Subject Lead
The Oxford Academy seeks a Laboratory Technician who will be able to exercise oversight of the day-to-day reliable operations within the preparation Laboratory. This role is vital to support classroom activities in the science subjects.
Key responsibilities will include preparation of materials, equipment, chemicals and specimens for lessons at the appropriate time, as well as the provision of technical support and preparing teaching materials as required.
The successful candidate will have a strong practical awareness of safety in handling, storage and cleaning of chemicals and other materials in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines.
This role is a term time role (plus 5 INSET days), working 37 hours per week (45.45paid weeks).
Interviews will be held on site at The Oxford Academy on Tuesday 5th October 2021.
