The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon and Dorset, including Lady Seward's CE Primary School. Lady Seaward's is a small rural primary school set in the idyllic village of Clyst St George on the outskirts of Exeter, with easy access to the M5.
The school is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support the classroom teacher and to work across the school to support teaching and learning.
The school provides a secure, nurturing and challenging learning environment with a family atmosphere, where the children come first and has an excellent partnership with parents/carers and the local community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum.
- To deliver targeted interventions.
- To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
- To work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
- You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion.
Desirable characteristics:
- experience in working with children with SEND and 1:1
- experience supporting intimate care
- experience supporting children with language delay and social communication difficulties
- experience supporting children with behavioural difficulties
This position is offered on a fixed term basis linked to funding and the SEND needs of the school.
