We have an exciting opportunity for a well-motivated individual to manage a variety of languages activities and projects undertaken by the School. The School offers evening class tuition to over 450 adult learners each year in nine different languages ranging from Spanish, French, Italian to Japanese and Arabic. You will manage the evening class programme including the organisation of the courses, finances and the staffing of classes. King Edward VII School leads on the HOLA (Home Language Accreditation Project.) You will administer, organise and liaise with external schools and agencies to arrange the GCSE and A Level exams, including acting as a speaking examination venue for the HOLA project.

The successful candidate will:

  • have a strong administration background
  • be a skilled ICT practitioner, with excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • have very good interpersonal skills

Applicants must have a good working knowledge of the whole suite of Microsoft Office software and be comfortable using Word and Excel extensively. We use SIMS as our main management information software and whilst familiarity with this piece of software is not essential the successful candidate must be able to learn quickly as they will use this central source of management information on a daily basis.
