Latin and Spanish Teacher job summary
Future Academies Watford is seeking an exceptional Latin and Spanish Teacher to join their Humanities department and provide outstanding teaching across KS3. The position has arisen due to an increase in the number of students being taught Latin from September 2021.
You will be adding your knowledge and value to our family of schools, teaching alongside dedicated and passionate subject specialists within your department and ensuring high-quality learning takes place. You will ensure that outstanding attainment and progress are continued to be secured and, using resources provided by our Curriculum Centre, will align your work with the Future Curriculum Design principles and Eight Habits.
You will be passionate and determined, with aspirations of developing your career within the education sector, whether in a child-centric role or otherwise.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
• A strong academic record with a 2:1 degree or above from a leading university in your subject area
• Great passion for your subject with high cultural literacy to deliver sophisticated lessons and continue to raise teaching standards within Latin and Spanish
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• The ambition and determination we expect from all of our staff to continue striving for excellence
• The enthusiasm and energy required to work with the children and young people in our schools
• An unwavering belief in the power of education to change lives, as per our trust’s motto, libertas per cultum (freedom through education). We expect all teachers to share in, and feel empowered by, this concept
