What skills and experience we're looking for

Part time - 0.2 FTE - Required for September 2024, well-qualified and enthusiastic Latin Teacher at this successful 11-18 girls’ grammar school in Reading. Graded ‘Outstanding’ in its recent OFSTED inspection, Kendrick School is a centre of academic excellence with a track record of high performance and achievement.

Students at Kendrick are given the unique and invaluable opportunity to study Latin alongside other Modern Foreign Languages. Latin is taught at all Key Stages. It is compulsory in Years 8 and 9, after which it is an option at Key Stages 4 and 5.In addition to Latin, Classical Civilisation is studied at A Level.

The successful applicant must be able to teach Latin at KS3. The ability to teach Latin at GCSE and Classical Civilisation at A Level would be advantageous but not essential.
