We are seeking a dedicated and passionateLay Chaplainto work across multiple schools within our trust. This is areserved post, and the successful candidatemust be a practising Catholicwho is committed to deepening the spiritual life of our school communities. The schools are:

  • Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Voluntary Academy, Bluestone Lane, Stapenhill, Burton-on-Trent, DE15 9SD.
  • Holy Rosary Catholic Voluntary Academy, Alexandra Road, Burton-on-Trent, DE15 0JE.
  • St Edward's Catholic Voluntary Academy, Newhall Road, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 0BD.

The Role:As Lay Chaplain, you will lead the spiritual growth of students, staff, and families across multiple schools. You’ll foster a strong Catholic ethos, organize liturgical events, and provide pastoral care. Working with the headteacher, you’ll help shape the Catholic Life of the school and implement its vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead prayers, liturgies, and worship, meeting the spiritual needs of the community
  • Offer pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students, staff and families.
  • Support the RE Curriculum and integrate Catholic values into school life.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong knowledge of Catholic faith, liturgy and traditions.
  • Excellent communicator, able to engage and inspire.
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Able to organise spiritual events and liturgical celebrations.
