What skills and experience we're looking for
- Experience of successfully leading a team
- Experience of teaching in an Autism resource base or specialist SEND provision
- High expectations of what can be achieved
- An understanding of the complexities of teaching to challenge and develop of all pupils
- An excellent knowledge of autism–focused approaches, (preferably including TEACCH )
- A proven track record in raising attainment for pupils with ASD and AEND needs
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Primary Curriculum
- The ability and drive to lead experience of teaching children with SEND specifically children with ASD;
- Excellent professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers

Crown Lane Autism Resource Base is an integral part of the whole school, supporting children with a diagnosis of autism and an EHCP. We are looking for an experienced and talented teacher to join our motivated team to plan and deliver individualised learning for children within the Resource Base and in the mainstream classroom using up to date knowledge and strategies to support children with ASD and SEND.
You will be based at Crown lane but will work across the partnership developing autism practice supported by experienced teachers and TA’s, the Inclusion Teams and professionals such as SALT, OT, LAAS and creative Therapists.
