Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum at KS2 and KS3
- Evidence of good/outstanding teaching
- Experience of using a range of teaching and learning strategies for whole classes, individuals and groups which stimulate, challenge, engage and motivate children
- Knowledge of how to give positive and targeted support to children with special educational needs / disabilities
- Experience of working in a diverse educational environment
- Successful teaching experience across the KS2 and KS3 age range (desirable)

We are looking to appoint, with effect from 1st September 2023 (or sooner), an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher and leader of KS3 Mathematics, who has the ability to engage and enthuse children with a passion for the subject. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and have a track record of outstanding performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an imaginative and creative teacher and leader to work in a supportive and energetic environment. You will be able to demonstrate the talent, interpersonal skills and a range of teaching strategies required to inspire and motivate children and support and motivate staff. Above all, you must have a passion for your subject and be able to embed an enjoyment in your lessons. We want our appointment to be an outstanding teaching practitioner with sound subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Mathematics. The successful applicant would be fully supported within this role with guaranteed CPD the opportunity to work within a positive and enthusiastic environment.

Monkseaton Middle School is a warm, caring and inclusive school. Our children range from 9 to 13 years old (Years 5 –8) and mainly join us from two first schools in the immediate local area, as well as from further away in North Tyneside.
