What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our students' academic and personal growth, working closely with teachers and other staff to deliver tailored support plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of Learning Support Assistants.
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver individualised learning programs.
  • Provide direct support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Foster a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEMH education.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development (Level 3 or higher preferred).
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
