What skills and experience we're looking for

You will have a confident classroom presence, with the ability to adapt your teaching approaches as required, to motivate and inspire our pupils to help them make the best possible progress.

Previous experience of covering classes is essential.

The successful applicant will also have • common sense • initiative • integrity • positive interaction with others • a “can do” attitude • flexibility • a strong working ethos and excellent communication skills and

  • have an good understanding of the teaching and learning process,
  • be self motivated and committed, with a willingness to learn new practices and procedures,
  • be knowledgeable of the importance of the safeguarding of children within a school setting,
  • minimum qualification - GCSE level, grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent). HLTA qualification desirable.
