Lead LSA - Communication & Interaction job summary
Chiltern Hills seeks a skilled, self- motivating, innovative, and driven individual, possibly a candidate interested in advancing their career in the field of education. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about fostering learning in children with SEN and disabilities.

The right candidate should:
Act on your own initiative and be responsive to the individual needs of the child
Be able to 'think outside the box', being creative and confident in your daily interactions
To liaise with external agencies, such as Communication and interaction specialist teachers and Speech and Language therapy to implement therapeutic interventions for those with communication and interaction needs.
Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the quality of initial instruction, provide support to individuals, small groups, and entire classes as necessary.
Deliver educational activities to students under an established supervision framework, making adjustments based on student reactions and requirements.
Aid in students' learning process to ensure they achieve at least the expected level of progress.
Support teachers in classrooms where students' literacy skills pose a hindrance to their advancement.
Customize existing literacy or numeracy teaching materials to suit the specific needs of individual students or student groups.
Demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm, energy, resilience, and perseverance.

Chiltern Hills Academy is a Church of England, co-educational secondary school in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. There are circa 1025 students on the school roll, approximately 100 of whom study in the sixth form. Chiltern Hills Academy converted to academy status in 2011 and is jointly sponsored by the Diocese of Oxford and Buckinghamshire County Council.
We are situated in the market town of Chesham, Buckinghamshire in the Chiltern Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated close to the M40 and the M25, Chesham is on the end of Metropolitan line of the London Underground and is 28 miles north-west of London. There is ample parking on-site. Renting here is cheaper than in central London and if you enjoy travelling, it takes about 40 minutes by car to Heathrow.
The Elgiva Theatre, Lowndes Park and an open-air heated swimming pool are just some of the many public amenities available in the town. Chesham is renowned for its community spirit and there are many recreational and community groups catering for the diverse and active population.
