What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher to become a lead Practitioner for Business Studies.The successful candidate will play a key role in the further development of teaching and learning in Business & Economics and will be able to have a significant impact on teaching and learning across the school.In addition you will support our highly successful Careers and Enterprise programme for all students, building in further opportunities to develop this area of our work and building strong links with employers both locally and further afield.
This exciting opportunity is a new role in the school and you would be joining a highly successful and popular department with a proven track record of exam success in GCSEs, A-Level and BTECqualifications.As a Lead Practitioner you will already have some experience of teaching Business Studies to at least GCSE level and a proven record of success.As a Lead Practitioner, there is a real opportunity for the successful candidate to have a positive impact on teaching and learning as well as careers and enterprise education across all year groups and this role would be ideal for a colleague who is looking to share their expertise and exceptional practise with wide range of talented and committed colleagues at all stages of their career.
What the school offers its staff
Our students follow an academic core curriculum throughout Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This includes the study of History, Geography and a Language as well as English, Maths and Science. But our students also have the opportunity to do a range of practical and vocational subjects including a wide range of creative and Performing Arts, Physical Education and other humanities like Business Studies, Psychology and Economics.
Outside the formal curriculum we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and clubs. Our students are also very active in the community working alongside local and overseas charities to raise money for good causes.
