- Are you a highly skilled, successful teacher of Computing/Computer Science with a proven track record of high quality teaching and learning?

Waingels, a popular 11-18 school where students achieved above national average in all measures and was identified as “continuing to be good” in a recent OFSTED inspection, is seeking to appoint aLead Practitioner for Computing & Digital Learningdue to the current post holder being promoted to a senior leadership role.
This is a key role within the school and would be ideal for an experienced practitioner or an existing head of subject who is looking for an opportunity to have an impact across the whole school with every aspect of digital learning.
The successful candidate will lead the Computing Department, taking responsibility for leading the further development of the department, building on the success of a popular and highly regarded subject within the curriculum. As an excellent teacher of Computing you will have the opportunity to teach at all Key Stages including in the Sixth Form.
Additionally this role has a significant whole school responsibility and the successful candidate will support teachers and other colleagues to use existing technologies effectively, including the use of platforms such as SatchelOne and BlueSky as well as ensuring all users, including parents can work safely and within the rules and regulations for examinations.
