Lead Practitioner in Mathematics
We are seeking to appoint a talented, dynamic and highly effective classroom practitioner to become a Lead Practitioner in Mathematics with effect from 1 January 2020.
You will be an excellent practitioner with a proven track record of success. The successfully appointed person will lead a range of high quality professional development activities, including training delivery, coaching, mentoring and outreach support, as well as leading the development of teaching and learning.

Essential educational requirements
An excellent practitioner with good experience, including of working with a range of
professionals in a secondary school and across secondary schools.
Proven track record of success, not solely on the basis of one year’s test/examination results.
Good honours degree (2.1 or higher) in a relevant subject

A well developed understanding of current educational issues, theory and practice, with particular regard to the National Curriculum, relevant subject area, learning and
Excellent subject knowledge to challenge learners of all abilities and achieve high outcomes.
Excellent understanding of planning and assessment techniques and how they impact on
Deploy a range of successful teaching strategies, including the ability to use resources, including new technology, effectively to achieve good or better outcomes.
Highly effective use of non-confrontational and inclusive classroom management strategies.
Able to lead, relate to, challenge, inspire, motivate staff, other adults and young people and
respond flexibly and sensitively to their needs.
Good knowledge of relevant policies, legislation and relevant statutory frameworks.
