What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an aspiring Lead Practitioner of Maths who will share in our vision to equip our students with the necessary skills and abilities to become independent, determined and resilient individuals in whatever direction they decide to pursue.
We are looking for a team player to join our highly collaborative mathematics department. A lead practitioner who can motivate and inspire students to reason successfully and convey complex ideas in an effective manner. We are looking for a colleague who is expert in their subject knowledge, reflective in their pedagogical approach and adept in developing the practise of others.
Why do you want to be Lead Practitioner of Maths at Breckland School? The answer is a simple one, this is an exciting opportunity to join our school following its “Good” Ofsted inspection in November 2022, to help achieve ‘excellence’ in all we do, and this includes our people.

- A two-week autumn half term in 2024
It is important to belong at work and the work you do is relied upon by our students, so even small positive differences which are made, make people very happy. We want to ensure you have a good work life balance and one of the ways we achieve this is by having a two-week autumn half term.
