*This position attracts a TLR2a allowance of £2,721 per annum and a recruitment and retention allowance of £2,000 per annum (fixed term for 2 years)*
Due to increasing student numbers, we are currently seeking to appoint an exceptional person to join our expanding Maths team.

Our Mathematics department currently consists of 8 excellent practitioners. We will provide a comprehensive support and mentoring programme for the successful candidate to ensure that you excel at your role and can fulfil your own ambitions and potential.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and a highly motivated individual, with a proven track record of success and of innovative teaching and learning strategies. This position will play a central role in guiding a vibrant, friendly and forward thinking team towards even better outcomes for our students. You will be involved in the development of key staff members and trainee teachers, and will play a significant role in implementing alternative exciting approaches in the teaching of mathematics. We are therefore seeking an experienced, dedicated and outstanding teacher with a unique approach to teaching and learning that inspires both colleagues and students. You will be ambitious and seeking to develop into a Middle Leader in the near future.

Essential educational requirements
Degree in a subject related to the curriculum area.
QTS / QTLS
Essential skills and experience
A minimum of 2 years successful teaching experience and proven track record of student achievement at both KS3 and KS4
Experience of developing and leading a curriculum initiative or project which has had proven impact in terms of positive outcomes for students.
Evidence of the successful use of new technologies to improve learning.
Evidence of the effective use of Assessment for Learning in engaging learners and promoting student achievement
Experience in the effective use of a wide range of teaching methodologies.
This role attracts a TLR2a payment and a temporary recruitment and retention allowance.
