Lead Practitioner of Mathematics (Curriculum and Teaching Development) job summary
We have created this post with a core vision in mind; the delivery of high quality teaching and learning. This will include the continuing development of our curriculum so that it engages and inspires future generations of our students. The successful candidate will be a classroom teacher of the highest calibre, who can mentor other teacher colleagues, both inexperienced and experienced, inspiring them to become more effective practitioners. The candidate will be expected to spend a large part of their role undertaking this aspect, as well as developing the curriculum and the teaching of it. This is central to our improvement plan. The ability to network and foster strong relationships with our local teacher training providers, as well as local teaching schools, will be essential to this role. There may also be opportunities to become involved in wider school teaching and learning.
