Lead Practitioner of Maths job summary
The successful candidate will be an outstanding Mathematics teacher who is passionate about the subject and has the skills and motivation to develop the practice of others. They will have an excellent knowledge of current mathematical pedagogy and practice. The post will support innovation and improvements in teaching and learning strategies within the Mathematics Department and potentially in other areas. The Lead Practitioner for Mathematics will develop approaches to numeracy across the curriculum so that students can apply mathematical skills in different subject areas. Essential to the role is the opportunity to work collaboratively with other organisations to ensure that Parrenthorn High School is at the forefront of developments in mathematics education. Finally, the Lead Practitioner for mathematics will support the head of department and senior leadership team to create a culture of constant improvements and be an inspirational leader.
