What skills and experience we're looking for
Crestwood High School has an exciting and brand-new opportunity for a Lead Practitionerto work alongside the Head of Maths. The successful candidate will be a qualified instructional coach, or be prepared to complete this training, to develop teaching, learning and pedagogy across the department and wider school.
The Lead Practitioner of Maths is part of a team of professionals that take responsibility for developing quality of teaching, learning and pedagogy across the department and wider school. The Lead Practitioner is also accountable for ensuring students have opportunities for and experiences of extra-curricular Maths activities.
The Lead Practitioner works very closely with the Head of Department, Senior members of staff and members of the central team. Lead Practitioners accelerate improvement and raise standards in their subject area.
Lead Practitioners will support in planning and teaching high quality lessons, improving outcomes, whilst ensuring students engage in extra-curricular activities. Lead Practitioners will analyse performance data to ensure that students are appropriately supported to achieve their best possible outcomes.

The Crestwood School is a secondary school for children between the ages of 11 and 16. It is a coeducational establishment which was converted to academy status in March 2015. It is based in the town of Kingswinford, West Midlands, in Dudley.
