Lead Practitioner of Science job summary
A Lead Practitioner would be consistently good or an outstanding teacher, with the results to prove it, who is ambitious and highly motivated to lead others. The Lead Practitioner will do everything possible to raise the quality of teaching and learning in Science and in the wider school.
The word ‘outstanding’ appears a lot in advertisements for teachers – but at Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School, it means more.
With over 1200 requests for the 130 places available in Year 7 this September, parents would certainly agree. When Ofsted last visited, they merely confirmed what we already knew – this is a good school and is continually striving to be the best it can be. We work within a large network of local schools and provide support in a range of areas. We are also contributing members of two teaching school alliances.
How have we achieved our current strengths? Quite simply, we employ teachers who are as ambitious, passionate and dedicated as we are. These amazing people work hard – in fact they work very hard – to ensure that our pupils make the best progress they possibly can. Whether they are the most able or on P scale, every child deserves nothing less than the very best teaching.
Not surprisingly, there’s a real buzz about our school. If you would like to be part of it – and teach children who genuinely want to learn – we would love to hear from you.
