What skills and experience we're looking for
Pool Hayes Academy are
looking to appoint an outstanding Lead Practitioner of Science to supplement
and enhance a strong established and supportive Science department. This is an exciting opportunity for a
committed and motivated professional with vision, tenacity, optimism, strong interpersonal skills and a
proven ability to motivate and lead change and inspire and develop Science provision within the Academy and ensure that our
students and staff excel. To succeed, you will be a Science specialist, have
the credibility to lead teaching and learning across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and
have the vision, energy and proven track record to ensure that our students are
inspired by Science, engage in learning and are eager to succeed.
You will join an experienced team who are passionate about innovative teaching with a focus on continual improvement. You will have the opportunity to teach at both GCSE and A level and to join a team of outstanding practitioners who share a passion for excellence.
The department is part of a well led, dynamic team, whose colleagues all enjoy supporting the Academy and its culture of outstanding success amongst our students. The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by our teaching and learning team.
As a key member of the team, you will play a lead role in curriculum development alongside progressing and enhancing the teaching practice of others within the academy and beyond. We are keen to secure a high calibre practitioner who can make a telling contribution to our forward-looking team.

provide the very best teaching and learning for our all our students, with a
strong commitment to removing barriers to learning for all.
