We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Lead Practitioner/Aspiring Lead Practitioner of Science
Keen to challenge young people with opportunities they may not know they even exist yet? We aim to raise pupils’ aspirations so they begin to believe in themselves and understand that there is nothing holding them back, including where they happen to live or their family’s experience in education.
Shenley Academy has been under new leadership since April 2019. The new leadership team, supported by the whole-body staff, work together to drive our ethos of inspiring & aspiring our students to achieve. We know that the life chances of our students are determined by inspirational teachers like you.
How can you help to inspire our Students?

We are searching for a Lead/Aspiring Practitioner of Science, who will inspire our students in the classroom by delivering innovative curricula and by giving them the confidence of to think big for themselves as they progress through our academy.

The role
Shenley Academy is an ambitious, over-subscribed secondary school, with high academic and behaviour expectations. This is an exciting career opportunity for an exceptional candidate able to be able to lead the development of Teaching and Learning within Science to impact positively on attainment outcomes and contribute to the further development of our Science Department.

For Aspiring Lead Practitioners we are an SSAT nationally accredited Lead Practitioner Learning Centre and those applicants who may currently work in role as a Lead Practitioner would also be supported to gain accredited Lead Practitioner status.

The successful candidate will be able to make use of the E-ACT exciting and in-depth CPD programme.
