What skills and experience we're looking for
The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic lead practitioner with the necessary experience, skills and knowledge to develop learning and teaching. The successful candidate will work with SLG with responsibility for Learning and Teaching colleagues across the Primary phase to further strengthen the implementation of the curriculum. This will include mentoring and developing our ECTs and driving our Primary phase learning and teaching priorities through coaching and CPD.

We are looking for a Lead Practitioner who will:
- Support the Primary lead and AHT secondary phase in planning and implementing a meaningful curriculum.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of what constitutes outstanding teaching and learning
- Be an excellent teacher who is passionate about sharing that knowledge with our students.
- Have an interest and proven track record in Learning and Teaching, in particular coaching and mentoring.
- Show commitment to ensuring equality of opportunity for all learners
- Be responsible for ensuring and supporting the educational success of the school
- Promote high standards of behaviour and a good working ethos.
- Reflective, open to feedback and driven to be outstanding
- Dedicated team player, working with the leadership team to problem solve and ensure the school works efficiently
- Demonstrates optimism about children and expects the highest possible standards.
- Has experience of teaching in inner/outer city schools, with a high proportion of EAL and Pupil Premium students

The school has a ‘community’ feel built on excellent relationships between all staff. Staff turnover is low and wellbeing good.
Our students benefit from new buildings and improved facilities. We have a vast number of computers, interactive whiteboards in every classroom and banks of laptops that are available for student use.
