We are looking for a Lead Practitioner - English for April or September 2022 (dependent on the successful candidates availability), and warmly welcome applications from experienced teachers who are passionate about English and are dedicated to enabling students to make excellent progress.

As the Lead Practitioner for English, you will work in a large team with a wide range of experience. The department continues to successfully train and develop ECTs as a means of investing in the future of the department. With senior leaders also in the department, you will be able to rely on the expertise of established practitioners who will play a part in working with you to drive standards higher. This is a fantastic role where you will have a direct impact in developing the English department to make it even better.

In addition to the GCSE at KS4, the department teaches the IB’s Middle Years Programme (MYP) at KS3 as well as numerous English and media courses in KS5. This allows for opportunities to work with a range of levels and abilities to improve the quality of education and outcomes in English.

Achievement for all students regardless of background is our key objective. We offer stimulating learning environments where effective teaching and learning are underpinned by high-quality interpersonal relationships. If you are ambitious for yourself and the learners you serve, then you are the person we need.
