Lead Reading Specialist Learning Support Assistant job summary
Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to become the schools reading specialist for 1-2-1 interventions and be trained in the application of the techniques for improving reading across the school. The role will include a range of responsibilities as well as delivering and leading regular and appropriate 1-2-1 interventions in reading across KS3 and KS4.
The successful candidate should be committed to supporting students and developing links with parents/carers together with key staff. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required together with sound literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
This post is subject to satisfactory references being received and a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure being obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and may suit those who wish to progress in to a teaching career.
