About the Role

The Lead Teacher will create a nurturing environment with high expectations for progress in learning. They will ensure high quality teaching, effective use of resources, and effective communications with parents and teachers in the school about the learners in the pathway. The postholder will be part of the lead team for SEND school, actively promoting inclusive practice across the school. Specifically:

  • To Lead and teach within the Enhanced Pathway.
  • Line manage support staff allocated to the provision.
  • To design a curriculum that meets the needs of students and supports them to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • To lead and chair relevant meetings for the students within the provision including parental meetings, multiagency reviews, EHCP and SEN reviews.
  • Support with identification of students for the provision.
  • To offer expertise to improve teaching and learning for students across the school.
