Teacher, SEN specialist
Main scale (TBC)
Hermitage is a school that is proud to be inclusive, and passionate about meeting the needs of all of its children. We are delighted to be opening a specialist resource provision for high functioning pupils with Autistic Spectrum Condition as part of our mainstream Primary school and are looking for someone to help us develop and manage the provision and lead on learning and teaching.
We need an innovative and aspirational teacher who would relish the opportunity to work with the senior leadership team to build the provision, its ethos and curriculum, whilst being part of a mainstream school that embraces creative approaches, in both curriculum and pedagogy.
The post is an exciting opportunity for an established teacher with experience of working with pupils with ASC and who is ambitious and seeking to develop their leadership potential. The specialist resource provision will be using research combined with existing good practice in our own and other specialist schools to develop an innovative approach which will have a real impact for pupils. The building is being developed to make this possible.
Our staff are collaborative, creative and intellectually curious, always seeking to make a positive difference for our children and the wider community, and we would welcome someone shares who shares these qualities and vision.
