Lead Teacher of Art and Design job summary

We are currently recruiting for a Lead teacher of Art & Design. We require a talented, enthusiastic and outstanding teacher and leader to continue lead the department to new heights of achievement. We are setting ourselves high targets for the development of Art across the curriculum in our all-through school. The successful candidate will have access to an outstanding Trust CPD programme and will be given the opportunity to gain either NPQ qualifications.

Our GCSE results have improved significantly over the last few years with the school achieving a progress score of +0.07. GCSE outcomes in Graphics have improved with students achieving 100% at grade 9-4 and 77% achieving 9-5 in 2023.

General Information

At Tudor Grange Academy excellent teaching and learning is at the heart of all that we do helping students fall in love with learning, embrace a growth mindset and be successful. We use Rosenshine’s 10 principles of instruction as a framework for our Quality First Teaching (QFT) programme. All staff enrol on our Teacher Education Programme (TEP) to develop as researchers and learners to better the quality of provision in the classroom. TGSA is a dedicated reading school.
