Armthorpe Academy, part of Consilium Academies, is seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Lead Teacher of English to support the continued development of English provision across our Trust schools.This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced leader of English to work collaboratively with the Director of English, senior leaders and subject teams to raise standards, improve outcomes and shape exceptional English education across the Trust.
About the Role
As Lead Teacher of English, you will play a key role in leading curriculum development, improving teaching and learning, and supporting school improvement across Consilium Academies. Based initially at Armthorpe Academy, you will work strategically across the Trust to:
- Lead the development of outstanding English provision and curriculum design
- Support Heads of Department to improve teaching, learning and assessment
- Deliver impactful intervention programmes to accelerate student progress
- Coach and develop colleagues through professional learning and instructional support
- Contribute to Trust-wide CPD, English networks and school improvement initiatives
- Use data analysis and evidence-informed practice to drive student achievement
