Lead Teacher of MFL job summary
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Lead Teacher in MFL. We require a talented, enthusiastic and outstanding teacher and leader to lead the department to new heights of achievement. The MFL department is key to the success of the academy and our ambition to teach Spanish and French to pupils across the primary and secondary phase. We are setting ourselves high targets for the development of Spanish and French across the curriculum.
Our GCSE results have improved significantly over the last few years with 70.6% achieving a grade 9-4; 59% achieving 9-5 and 23% achieving a grade 9-7. The department is committed to improving learning through research, including metacognition, mastery and mixed attainment teaching. Additionally, you will benefit from working with a large MFL team across the Trust.
General Information
At Tudor Grange Academy excellent teaching and learning is at the heart of all that we do helping students fall in love with learning, embrace a growth mindset and be successful. We use Rosenshine’s 10 principles of instruction as a framework for our Quality First Teaching (QFT) programme. All staff enrol on our Teacher Education Programme (TEP) to develop as researchers and learners to better the quality of provision in the classroom. TGSA is a dedicated reading school.
