The Beaconsfield School runs GCSE Music, benefits from a well-equipped specialist Music teaching room and two music practice rooms. The school is a member of the Buckinghamshire Music Trust. Music is an essential aspect of our school curriculum and we are looking for a person who will grow this area of the school.
The successful candidate will have the energy, drive and stamina to deliver music in an innovative way that will engage our students. We have a strong track record of extra-curricular activities within the local community and beyond.
The person appointed will work closely with colleagues in the Performing Arts Department to help develop the cross curricular work that leads to our wonderful school productions. We are currently working towards performances as part of the schools 90th anniversary in the summer of 2022. As well as musicals, students take part in local concerts and perform at local events.
The person appointed will be well supported through our teaching and learning coach, a well-established professional studies programme and through a comprehensive induction process. The school offers bespoke CPD opportunities ranging from National Professional Qualifications support to supporting MA programmes.

You will be joining a highly skilled staff, who are supportive, show determination and resolve. We are also a school where team work and enjoyment is central to our success as it is these that keep us going when times are tough.

A co-educational secondary school with 880 students, a growing Sixth Form and just fewer than 100 staff.
As a school we are creative in our curriculum and we treat each child as an individual; because of this, learning and progress is at the centre of everything we do. We work towards making the selective system irrelevant.
We want every student who attends the school to reach their full potential academically. We also put great value on extra-curricular clubs and activities. During any one week there are over 50 clubs or activities running for students. We believe that this complements their academic studies, helps them to develop into well rounded individuals and enables them to make a positive contribution to the community.
We have wonderful facilities including a purpose built drama studio, 2 Apple Mac suites, a ratio of 1 computer to every 2.5 students, interactive whiteboards in each classroom, specialist technology classrooms and a sports hall. We are a well-equipped school that gives our students every opportunity to engage in their learning. Our school environment is maintained to the highest standard and students are expected to respect this at all times.
