LEAD TEACHER OF SPANISH & FRENCH – SECONDARY
DELTA ACADEMIES TRUST

Are you a talented linguist? Do your pupils love learning languages and get great results? If so, then we want to talk to you!

Delta Academies Trust are looking to appoint a Lead Teacher of Spanish & French to join us in September 2021. Working alongside our team of experienced Trust MFL Directors, you will be deployed in 2 or 3 of our academies during the academic year. We are passionate about our specialism and want all our pupils to develop a love of languages and be taught by the very best in our profession, giving them every opportunity to excel.

Delta Academies Trust are looking to build an elite team of exceptional leaders, teachers, and support staff to transform education in the North of England, in line with our vision of ‘Changing Lives’. Our vision is to transform education across the North of England and level up the playing field for those children who live in disadvantaged circumstances. Through strong and purposeful leadership and high quality teaching and learning, we are confident that we can have a positive impact upon the lives of young people, ensuring that all students achieve their potential, realise their aspirations; and are well prepared for the next stage of their lives.

This is an exciting time to join our Trust. You will be working with our MFL Director team, consisting of two Directors and two Associate Directors, offering support and professional development to our secondary academies as we develop our MFL strategy. A new curriculum model has been implemented which includes a focus on culture as well as language, enriched by the work of a team of Modern Language Assistants and the number of pupils studying MFL is rising rapidly.

We are committed to investing in staff of all levels and we will ensure you have access to high quality professional development through a formal CPD programme. As part of your career development, we will give you the opportunity to work with a wide range of senior leaders, as well as to undertake formal National Professional Qualifications. We also have an employee benefits scheme.

If you share our vision, are passionate about raising educational attainment and standards and helping young people reach their full potential, you can make a difference with Delta Academies Trust.
