Building on a successful model for Lead teachers, Flying High Partnership is looking to recruit an exceptional teacher and SEND leader to become part of our Lead teacher team. We are seeking a Lead teacher with a specialism in Inclusion who will be deployed to schools across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, within a geographical location suitable to the successful candidate.

The post holder will be deployed to a targeted school, taking on the role of SENDCo, fulfilling a teaching commitment and operating as a part of the senior Leadership team. As an expert in SEND and teaching and learning, you will support and develop practice across the school ensuring that the school meets the needs of every child. This targeted school will be agreed upon on a bi-annual basis.

The successful candidate will be centrally employed by Flying High Partnership, with deployment and professional learning supported and monitored by our education team. This is an exceptionally exciting and innovative opportunity, bringing together career progression and wider impact while ensuring you remain firmly rooted in a school and classroom.

  • A qualified and experienced SENDCo
  • Is a consistently high-performing teacher, with a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Has an unshakable determination to lead inclusion, ensuring that the needs of every child are met.
  • Has experience and an understanding of successful and sustainable school improvement.
  • Has experience and an understanding of teacher development, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Is a leader who can inspire and motivate colleagues, providing the appropriate balance of challenge and support.
  • Is a resilient leader, who will remain determined to deliver the improvements the school requires, secure in the knowledge that they have the full support of the Flying High partnership.
