Lead Teaching Assistant job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Teaching Assistant to join the team at the Linden Bridge School. A Lead TA will work alongside the class teacher and Special Needs Assistants to raise the learning and attainment of all pupils in both academic and EHCP areas. They will be supporting pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access all areas of the curriculum whilst always promoting pupils’ independence.
Successful candidates will have basic numeracy and literacy skills eg through GCSE qualification in English and Maths or equivalent. They may be required to hold a certificate of competency in a defined area relevant to the role e.g. first aid at work, ADHD, behaviour management, advanced literacy, NNEB or other relevant qualifications at level 2. They should be competent in a range of IT tools and may be required to hold practical knowledge or experience relevant to the role.
