Lead Teaching Assistant - Student Mentoring job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide personalised mentoring to individual and small groups of students. Acting as an advocate for students, you will help in facilitating the support and resources they need to engage in positive learning experiences and assist them in overcoming barriers to learning in mainstream classrooms.

Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting students in class and small group work. The role is varied and includes supporting students through key transition points, running lunchtime clubs and contributing towards written reports and reviews, including attending meetings.

The role requires demonstrable knowledge and understanding of SEND-specific needs together with the associated social, emotional and behavioural impact.
