Leader of Department, English job summary
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Leader of English to lead the team and enthuse and motivate students to achieve their best.
The successful candidate will:-
- be an outstanding English teacher, passionate about getting young people to succeed at English;
- inspire young people to develop a love of both English Language and English Literature;
- have the highest expectations for all young people;
- be able to enthuse, engage, motivate and challenge students and staff to raise achievement at all levels;
- be energetic and dynamic with vision and leadership qualities;
- be able to plan, maintain and develop outstanding teaching and learning in the department;
- contribute to whole school success;
- work collaboratively with the wider Education South West English leadership team.
