Our opportunity
As we strengthen our team we are looking to appoint an EYFS specialist to join us as our EYFS language and literacy lead. This is a full time position where you will teach children aged between 2 and 4 years old and also be a key person for a group children.
It is essential that you hold QTS and have recent and relevant experience in Early Years practice. We are also looking for someone with strengths in observational assessment and early language development.
Our Headteacher is a lead professional working as a DfE expert supporting practitioners in the local area. This is a great opportunity for a colleague to take on responsibility within the school and work on a variety of projects that should interest them, as well as gaining management experience in the school when the Headteacher is temporarily off site.

Childhaven Nursery School is looking to appoint:
• An exceptional Early Years lead teacher with a passion for developing children's independent learning
• A teacher with high expectations and a strong understanding of continuous provision
• A dynamic, creative, positive team member
• A reflective teacher who has a personal drive to develop their own practice
• A nurturing teacher who understands how individual children’s needs affect their learning
• A teacher with understanding and empathy for children with additional needs
• A teacher who enjoys working with parents
• A teacher who enjoys being part of a large team
• Someone who celebrates special moments in childhood like we do and who sees the joy in all children.
• Someone with experience in developing language and communication skills
• Someone who can see life through the eyes of a child
• Someone who is skilled in observational assessment and documenting children’s learning in the moment.
• An individual that can work well on their own, but who knows when to ask for help and seek guidance openly.

We can offer the successful candidate an opportunity:
• To work with outstanding practitioners
• To work with a supportive, friendly, talented staff team with a great sense of humour
• To work within a nursery school committed to staff professional development with numerous opportunities to develop your personal talents
• To work with children who are motivated and keen to learn
• A warm, happy school where we value everyone and have a philosophy of kindness and support for each other. Our approach is not always conventional but has the impact our children need and deserve
• Happy, enthusiastic and deeply engaged children.
• A school with exciting and attractive learning environments indoors and out.
• An experienced team who welcome fresh ideas, traditional values and a sense of teamwork.
