What skills and experience we're looking for
As a popular and successful school, we are always excited to strengthen our team. Following a period of growth and consistently excellent results we are seeking to appoint a new Head of Geography to continue the success of the team.
Therefore, we are looking to employ a well-qualified leader, able to teach Key Stage 5 Geography, with experience of developing Geography teams who in turn deliver high quality lessons with excellent student outcomes.
Humanities is a vital part of our curriculum, with all students choosing to study Geography, History or Religion, Philosophy & Ethics at GCSE. Many students also stay with us to study Geography in the Sixth Form and will then continue the subject to University.
Geography is taught across all 3 key stages, including a popular A Level course. Extra-curricular opportunities are rich with students taking part in many career related opportunities and competitions. There are fieldwork opportunities across all key stages, with dedicated support from an excellent assistant headteacher who oversees humanities subjects.
The team is made up of supportive and highly committed subject specialists.
