What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, creative and visionary Leader of Learning for Personal Development/PSCE/RSHE (Personal, Social and Citizenship Education/Relationships, Sex and Health Education) to join us in April 2025. The role provides an excellent opportunity for an outstanding and dynamic leader to drive significant improvement in the curriculum and across the whole-school community. We are looking for a dynamic, evidence-informed, creative and strategic thinker, who will embrace the opportunity to work collaboratively to embed sustainable school improvement across both of our school sites. The successful candidate will have the autonomy and freedom to shape the Personal Development/PSCE/RHSE curriculum and its role in the wider extra-curricular life of the school as well as through assemblies and the tutoring programme. They will find a staff and student body who readily embrace change for the better and will work collaboratively with an established leadership team to lead their vision.

The position requires someone with leadership experience, who can inspire others and help us deliver our vision.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • The energy, ambition, drive and resilience to make a tangible difference as a Leader of Learning in a large and ambitious school.
  • The integrity, moral purpose, presence and emotional intelligence necessary to inspire confidence in staff, students and parents/carers.
  • An absolute commitment to evidence-informed practice, inclusion and social justice to support the best possible outcomes for all students, but our disadvantaged and most vulnerable students in particular.

What the school offers its staff

Our students have an extremely positive attitude towards their learning, enjoy school and feel valued and well cared for. We promote a collaborative culture with a strong commitment to the professional development of our staff. We are also working towards the aim of being an anti-discrimination school.
